Selection and use of courbook materials

Before to start a new scholar year, it is important to analyze which materials we will use during all the class period such as coursebook materials which are all materials that are included in a coursebook package. For example: teacher´s book, audio script, workbook, and a CD. 

But, how to select those materials already mentioned?

There are some questions which is helpful to ask ourself in order to choose the suitable materials:

1. Is the material visually attractive? Colorful material catches the attention of students in order to help them to understand the context of different topics.
2. Is the material well organized? So, students and even we will have a better explanation about the content of the book.
3. Will the topics motivate students? It will depend on the age, gender and experience of students. 

In short, the materials we think will be useful for learners in order to have a class profile  will depend on needs our own analysis. In other words, better results for learning the language through different skills will depend on correct selected materials.
